If you are a registered user (author) you will be requested to supply your first and last name, your email address and country. Authors who submit work will supply the first chapter of their work along with a story outline and a personal profile. The chapter, outline, profile, country, and their first and last name will be displayed to the viewer on the site. Authors will be automatically sent newsletters. Your book should be posted straight away. In certain circumstances, however, this may be delayed and consequently you should allow up to 7 days for your work to be posted (this will be a rare occurrence).
Should an author wish to submit a book which contains subject matter that could include explicit sexual material, graphic horror or any other type of potentially disturbing or controversial subject matter then you should not post it direct onto the website but use the contact us section to discuss the matter with us. We are not, in principle, against displaying the creative talents of any author. We are aware, however, that such material may need special treatment, for example, a warning may be placed on it prior to the first chapter being opened.
As a registered user you may access your work to amend it etc. We will send you advice and other information from time to time if we feel it is in your interests. At any time you may remove your information from the website. The only other people who can remove your work are us. You retain control of the copyright. Posting your work means that you are giving iwantabookpublisher.com permission to show the information that you send us, it is still yours. There is no charge, fee, royalty or any other kind of payment due from you to iwantabookpublisher.com. If you go on to make a huge amount of money and are racked by guilt you may take the website owner out to lunch, if it makes you feel better. The work will stay on line as long as we can allow it. At this present time we do not anticipate removing work within a year of it being posted. This will be kept under review but will be dependant on hosting costs and other factors. You will be notified if your work is removed.
We can offer no warranty as to the suitability or otherwise of an agent or publisher to get your book into print. We simply know what they have told us and we will pass this onto you. If we were to carry out investigations into companies that contact us then we would have to charge you for using this site! Prior to entering into any agreement please, please take your own legal advice. If you are asked for any form of payment towards publication then let us know straight away. We will ban such a company from having contact with authors whose work is on this site. We are not opposed, as such, to self-publishing. There are times when it makes sense. The problem is that some, unscrupulous self-publishing companies will try and persuade people that everyone should self publish and this is not the case.
You may put as many entries on the site as you like. By entering work you are confirming that it is your own work. You are also confirming that, though you are only submitting the first chapter, the book is complete. If we receive a complaint that work that you have posted is not your own then we reserve the right to suspend the work from the site whilst the matter is investigated. If it is found that you have posted someone else's work under your name you will be banned from the site. We are not a massive business and do not wish to employ a whole raft of lawyers running around on our behalf apologising because an author thought no one would notice. It is not fair on us or the agents or publishers.
We reserve the right to delete work from this site. This will be our decision. Not everyone can be a best selling author, that's the way life is. We are aware though that people may just post any sort of content to post a link or to enter a competition or to get a free ebook etc. This is not acceptable. If it is your work and you have done your best then you should be fine to post work.

Agents or publishers
If you are a registered user (agent or publisher) you will be required to submit information about your name and the details of the company that you represent. This information will not be displayed on the site. It will only be sent to an author whose work you are interested in, by yourself. We cannot guarantee that you will be contacted immediately e.g. the author may be on holiday. The author (or us!) have the authority to take the work offline, you do not. What happens when you make contact with the author is between the two of you. The authors are advised to take legal advice before entering into any arrangements. There is no charge for you using this site. You may not offer any service for which the author of any work will have to pay you money.
