This site came about after its founder, Richard Ebbs, wrote a couple of stories for his children. He showed them to a friend who understood how the publishing industry worked. The response that he received was completely unexpected. He said, "So you have done the easy bit then!"
This is how you try and get your book published; you buy a writers reference book that lists details of book agents or publishing companies. You can, if times are hard, go to most libraries to access the same books. You then have to identify who may be interested in the work. You then have a long drawn out process whereby you contact each one, sometimes having to telephone several times because people are on holiday, days off etc. You then have to print out x number of copies and prepare this and that . This simply didn't make sense. It was being done like this because that's the way it always had been done! It doesn't have to be that way.
Now New Authors Register. You can then upload the first chapter of any work you have done. There is no limit to the amount of first chapters that can be uploaded and it is free. There are no fees, charges or royalties.............ever!
Book Agents Register and publishers. They can then make contact with the author of any work that they are interested in.
Not only does the site provide a quick, no cost way to show off work through the Writers Showcase, it also increases greatly the chances of you getting a deal as it allows book agents and publishers in any country to see your work and to get in touch.
